My sister always chastises me for being a "homosexual man." It's not my fault that I like Bjork...okay but I admit she has just reason since I was watching "Les Demoiselles de Rochefort" on repeat for 1 week straight. It's a French musical.Opening Sequence
Best part starts at 1m 49s, that amazing zoom out! Seriously beautiful editing and camera angles. Gene Kelly did the choreography.
1m 55s is my favorite bit in this scene. This is not the most amazing movie ever and some of the songs are quite bad, but it's so disgustingly enjoyable. Orange collared shirts + red neckties? Yes please!
I am obsessed with the carnies. I couldn't find a photo showing their slouchy white go-go boots but trust me, they are good.
